INTERESTED IN ENTERING THE 2011 SCHUYLKILL RIVER REGATTA?
The Keystone Canoe Club has sponsored the Schuylkill River Regatta for 41 years, to promote water safety and paddlesports in general. This 13-mile race is held on the Schuylkill River starting at Peter Yarnell Park, which is near Berne Bridge near Hamburg. Berne Bridge is closed to vehicles.
CHECK THE MESSAGE BOARD ON OUR WEBSITE in case more information is needed as race day gets closer.
The course is Class I water, easy enough for a novice. The race will be challenging enough for an experienced racer, and fun for all. There is calm water, moving water with riffles, and low ledges.......
For ACA members, the pre-registered race fee is $25. For non-ACA members, the pre-registration cost is $30. That includes the $5 ‘event membership’ fee, which is liability insurance for this one-day event only.
Make sure you mail the registration early enough to arrive at our post-office box by May 6th. We will check the box in late afternoon on May 6th.
IF YOU WAIT TO REGISTER UNTIL SATURDAY, (THE DAY OF THE RACE): ADD $10 EXTRA AS A LATE FEE.

On May 7th, check-in starts at 8 am, while the race starts at 11 am. ON MAY 7th, COME TO PETER YARNELL PARK AND CHECK-IN FIRST. Leave your boat at the start at Peter Yarnell Park when you check-in. Then you can move your car to the take-out at Jim Dietrich Park. We provide a shuttle bus back to the start at 9:30 AM, in time for the Competitor’s Meeting at 10:30.
DIRECTIONS TO THE PUT-IN (START) AT PETER YARNELL PARK AND THE TAKE-OUT (FINISH) AT JIM DIETRICH PARK ARE PROVIDED ON THE SECOND PAGE OF THE REGISTRATION PACKET.

TO REGISTER FOR THE 2011 KCC REGATTA, follow these simple steps:.....
1. At the top of this page, click on: 2011 REGATTA REGISTRATION PACKET and download the file. It contains five pages, which will print out all together.
2. IF YOU ARE NOT AN ACA MEMBER, your options are described in the six boxes at the top of the ACA Membership page with the Adult Waiver. Most people pick the $5 Event Membership fee for liability insurance for one day. Or you can join ACA as a full member.
Check one of the boxes at the top and sign the waiver for an adult or minor.
Racers who are ACA MEMBERS MUST SHOW THEIR ACA CARD WITH ITS NUMBER at check-in time on Saturday. ACA changed everyone’s number to nine digits last year. Make sure your membership is current.
IF YOU ARE AN ACA MEMBER, PLEASE SIGN THE WAIVER FORM and send it to the club address along with your ENTRY FORM AND CHECK.
3. Send the 2011 ENTRY FORM AND ONE OF THE ACA WAIVERS to the KCC address indicated below. Include ONE CHECK for combined KCC and ACA fees, PAYABLE TO THE KEYSTONE CANOE CLUB. You do not have to join KCC to participate in the Regatta.
